The result of this angsty imitation-slash-innovation is a faction that is distinct and unique, even while sharing much of the same equipment. They bring the image of the quirky and slightly less talented younger sibling of the Picts, in particular a younger sibling that takes inspiration from their elder while trying to form an identity of its own.
The Goidels hold a special place in my heart as my favourite faction in Viking Conquest.
